Opening early 2027
In Saint-Pie, in Quebec’s Montérégie region, Groupe CaRay is developing an integrated industrial hemp value chain dedicated to bio-based construction and the manufacturing of low-carbon building systems.
Construction of La Chanvrière CaRay is now underway. The building is expected to be completed in December 2026, with the full decortication line scheduled to begin operations in early 2027.

OUR PRODUCTION
This new facility will transform hemp grown by Quebec farmers into three fully utilized materials:
HEMP FIBRE
Hemp fibre is primarily intended for producing insulation materials.
HEMP SHIVES
Hemp shives are used in the hemp-based building systems.
HEMP DUST AND RESIDUAL MATERIALS
Hemp dust and residual materials can be incorporated into various industrial applications.
TRANSFORMING MATERIALS. BUILDING THE FUTURE.
Our objective is clear: to establish a complete value chain in Quebec, from agricultural production to industrial processing, while working closely with local farmers and ensuring that every part of the plant is put to use.
